A Fairy Tale Evening with D’Artagnan and the French Institute / Alliance Française
D’Artagnan has long been a supporter of the French Institute | Alliance Française (aka FI:AF) and was proud to help celebrate the opening of its Fall 2008 Crossing the Line Festival by offering an assortment of hors d’oeuvres to the 300 guests who attended its invitation-only event on September 16th at the chic atelier of fashion icon Diane von Furstenberg, located in Manhattan’s Meatpacking District.
 |
The centerpiece of the event was the appearance of several of Snow Whites, conjured up by French Artist Catherine Baÿ for the US premiere of “The Snow White Project,” a “site-specific” performance-art piece taking place at various locations and times throughout New York City as a part of this Fall’s festival.

D’Artagnan’s new Hot Dogs as a "Best
Buy!"
"Known for posh products like foie gras
and truffle butter, D’Artagnan goes delightfully down-market with
its new line of hot dogs—ultra meaty, all-natural, free of nitrates
and nitrites, and available in innovative varieties like buffalo and
duck, as well as crowd-pleasing beef and pork." September 2008, page

D’Artagnan Puts Chefs to the
Test at its annual Duckatlon
D’Artagnan’s fourth annual Duckathlon made a big splash
in New York City’s Meatpacking District on Sunday, May 5th. Originally
conceived as a part of D’Artagnan’s week long 20th-anniversary celebration
in 2005, the Duckathlon has become the "insiders" food event of the year.
And by all indications from this year’s enthusiastic turnout, it’s an
event that is here to stay—no if, ands or quacks about it. See the video!

The
2007 New York City Duckathlon
May 6, 2007,
New York City, The Third Annual D’Artagnan Duckathlon, held in New
York, was a wonderful success! Chefs from many of the finest restaurants in
New York and New Jersey competed in the 20 stop food and wine obstacle
course through the New York’s Meatpacking District. Asked to identify
cheeses, olive oils, wines and spirits by taste (and often blindfolded),
wear flippers, and race rubber ducks, the 20 teams rose to the challenge
admirably ...
